Pink Sugar By Aquolina Review | Playful, Flirty & Sweet Cotton Candy Scented Perfume

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Pink Sugar By AquolinaPink Sugar by Aquolina is the ultimate fragrance in femininity as it blends sweet notes from your childhood like cotton candy, vanilla and caramel. Sounds good enough to eat!

Aquolina devised it to be a playful flirty fragrance for the young at heart. It is has a sweet yet slightly floral fragrance.

If you want to make your perfume last longer apply it to the body's pulse points such as the wrist, behind the ear, the crease in your arms or knees and the base of your neck. The fragrance will be warmed and released all day long from the blood vessels which are closest to the skin.

Notes:

Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Raspberry, Fig Leaves, Lily of the Valley, Licorice, Strawberry, Red Fruit, Cotton Candy, Vanilla, Caramel, Musk, Wood, Powder

Users Conclusions

I have compiled the lists below from the users opinions on Sephora.

Pros

  • Smells sweet like cotton candy
  • Not overwhelming
  • Lasts long

Cons

  • A little too sweet

Ingredients

Alcohol Denat (SD Alcohol 39C), Aqua (Water), Parfum (Fragrance), Alpha Ionone, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool.

To Sum Up

Pink Sugar have definitely done something right with this perfume. It is very popular with users who say they adore the cotton candy scent and love all the compliments from strangers they get.

There are a couple of users who find it a little too sweet but just calm it down with a light fruity perfume.

It does usually cost $50 but is on sales for $29.99 for a 3.4oz bottle, which is a real bargain! So could be a good time to buy if you fancy giving it a try.

Heat Perfume By Beyonce Review | Sexy, Sophisticated & Sweet Fragrance

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Beyonce Heat PerfumeThe new fragrance Heat by Beyonce is devised to be a sensual, sexy and sophisticated fragrance for women.

Heat was developed by perfumers Oliver Gollotin (creator of fragrances for Mariah Carrey and Ed Hardy) and Claude Dir (who designed perfumes for Celine Dion and Britney Spears.)

It is composed from rare sensual flowers for a lovely floral fragrance that is sweet smelling. Well it certainly hits the mark of sweetness according to a lot of the reviews on makeupalley. Some of the users think it is overpoweringly sweet, while others love the sweet scent.

This perfume is a number 1 seller in Macy's and is quite high on the Amazon best sellers list which seems a little strange as most of the reviews I have read are quite negative. I think the best selling point Heat has is the fact it has Beyonce's name on it.

Users Conclusions

I compiled the lists below from the reviews on makeupalley.com.

Pros

  • Sexy scent
  • Everyday wear
  • Musky floral scent

Cons

  • Unoriginal
  • Similar to Britney Spears Fantasy
  • No staying power
  • Too sweet (some users like the sweetness)

Notes

  • Sequoia milkwood
  • Tonka bean
  • Amber
  • Almond macaroon
  • Honeysuckle nectar
  • Crème de musk
  • Magnolia
  • Neroli
  • Red vanilla orchid
  • Blush Peach

To Sum Up

This perfume is a number 1 seller in Macy's and is quite high on the Amazon best sellers list which seems a little strange as most of the reviews I have read are quite negative. I think the best selling point Heat has is the fact it has Beyonce's name on it.

Most users found the sweetness overpowering when first sprayed then it seemed to disappear completely after an hour or so.

Other fans seemed to love the sweetness and floral scent, although a lot of them did find the fragrance didn't last very long.

Heat by Beyonce retails for $48.99 for a 3.4 oz bottle, which is about the average price these days for a celeb perfume.

Juicy Couture Eau De Parfum Review | Seductive, Sweet & Fruity Scent

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Juicy Couture womens perfumeJuicy Couture Eau de Parfum has very mixed reviews on Sephora.com. Some ladies love the fragrance because they say its not to over powering.

It's weird how one perfume can have so many different smells, but after reading reviews many ladies have different opinions on the scent. A few perfume guru's say Juicy Couture has a fruity undertone, while others think it is more floral.

I think this fragrance might be one of those that you just have to test yourself to see if it's for you.

This is how many Juicy fans described Eau de parfum:

  • Light
  • Sweet
  • Sexy
  • Seductive
  • Long lasting
  • "Just pure perfection"

Some other users have an opposite opinion about Juicy's scent describing it to be so strong that it gives them a headache. Also that it is nothing special and just smells like Britney Spears' "Curious".

Top Notes

Watermelon, mandarin, and pink passion fruit combined with the sparkling freshness of bright marigold and green apple, enhanced by a splash of water hyacinth and crushed leaves.

Middle Notes

Wild rose with sophisticated princess lily and creamy tuberose.

Base Notes

Caramel creme brulee and vanilla meld with elegant precious woods and patchouli.

Ingredients

Alcohol Denat, Aqua, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Alpha Isomethyl, Ionone, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Eugenol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3 Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Isoeugenol, Limonene, Linalool, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 14700 (Red 4), CI 42090 (Blue 1)
